ICS Middle School Government in Place!
Iroquois Community School recently held a campaign assembly for candidates running for Middle School Student Government.
The candidates, who were sixth through eighth graders, were given a chance to answer questions about what they would like to do for the school.
There were 19 candidates who were vying for the positions of president, vice president, treasurer and secretary.
Ms. Jeanne Bartells and Ms. Renee Guill, the ICS Middle School Government advisors, said the winning board was decided by an all middle school voting process.
After the votes were counted the results were as follows: President: Isabella Elekes, Vice President: Andy Sugar, Secretary: Kacper Kusiak and Treasurer: Tommy Murphy.
Ms. Bartells said they are are excited for a great year ahead at ICS!
