With the Olympics recently taking place, the Iroquois National Junior Honor Society candidates volunteered their time to help create a fun
and engaging Winter Olympics learning experience for the students.

A wall decorated with flags and Olympic medals displays the "Winter Olympics Medal Count 2026" in the background.

The candidates decorated the front office and lobby with Olympic cutouts and banners and also created a presentation about the Olympics to help teach students more about the games. Students also write a script for the school's morning announcers to share Team USA updates and Olympic fun facts.

A yellow paper medal with a child's photo and "A Medal of Kindness for FOLLOW THE RULES" written on it hangs from pink ribbons against a yellow locker.

During Spirit Week each buddy grade wore colors representing the Olympic rings. Students also participated in a door decorating contest in which every class decorated their classroom door with Olympic themes such as "winter sports" and "international unity."

Students and a teacher are in a classroom with desks, a whiteboard, and bookshelves in the background.

The winner of the door decorating contest was an American flag made entirely out of paper chains!

Other highlights included watching Olympic events during lunchtime on the lunchroom projector and interviewing a former Olympic torchbearer and reporter, Mr. Mike Jacobs, who also happens to be Principal Kelly Krueger's father!
